How do you thank a man who gave so much of himself without expecting anything in return?
The time he spent with me has, in large part, made me who I am today.
He taught me, through example, patience and the value of being slow to anger.
In his illness, as in much of his time with me, he endured in order to be there for the sake of his family and be able to continue to be there, to do more, and see us reach our goals in our lives.
I will always remember our special times together. They will remain with me forever.
I love you Grandpa!

Sweet Uncle Duffy. The memories I have of you growing up on Elliott Ave. are a treasure I hold close in my heart. You and my Dad sitting hours on end in front of the apartment, shooting the breeze, loving your wives, your children with an unmeasurable passion will remain in a special place in my heart. There is not a doubt in my mind my Mom and Dad were front and center at those pearly gates to welcome you "home". Rest well and I know with all certainty we will all be together again some day. You received your wings and earned a most righteous place in heaven. God be with you always.

My loving uncle Duffy will be so truly missed. He was always, always there for us no matter what we needed. One of my greatest memories growing up was that whenever I was very nervous or upset about things, I would say "I want uncle Duffy".. At times he was the only one that could make me feel calm and at ease when I was upset. He would always calmly tell me "you're going to be alright"., He cared for me like a father and I will always be ever grateful for his love to our entire family.

What I truly know about my uncle Duffy is what a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather he was. His whole life was dedicated to his family -- they meant everything to him. He was such a handsome man with a smile that was contagious. I can remember growing up how he would tell me these funny stories and I would laugh until I felt like I couldn't breathe. I have many fond memories of my uncle and he will truly be missed. He is with God now resting peacefully. XO

So many memories shared with your family. I will always remember him for the smile he always carried on his face. His willingness to always help people not to say the numerous times he fixed my hair dryer for me. He was a gentile man with a heart of gold.
