Delfino Joseph Placidi
Delfino "Duffy" Joseph Placidi passed away on Thursday, August 4, 2016. He was 90.
Born in Yonkers, NY; Duffy had been a resident of Carmel, NY for the past 7 years.
Duffy was a son of the late Dominick and Mary Cellini.
He served his country honorably with the United States Army during WWII. He was the recipient of a purple heart and a bronze star.
Duffy was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers for 50 years.
Duffy was a devoted family man. He was passionate about spending time with his family. He was always caring, patient, understanding and gave his love unconditionally. He was deeply loved and respected by everyone.
Duffy was a great cook and could be found at the grill when there was a barbecue. He was an avid football, boxing, and Yankees fan. He was a competitive bowler for many years. His league won many first place trophies and he won a trophy for bowling a perfect game of 300.
Loving father of Barbara Battaglia (Paul) and Donna Conte (Richard). Duffy is also survived by his wife Ada (Tobacco) of 68 years; two grandchildren, Jennifer Cirioni and Gregory Conte, and 3 great grandchildren, John Paul, Justin, and Julianna Cirioni. He is also survived by his sister Petrina Grassi.
