He’s more myself than I am. Whatever our souls are made of, his and mine are the same.

And so it was with Aunt Ada and Uncle Duffy. It was always “Aunt Ada & Uncle Duffy.” Two souls who found each other on earth; their lives inextricably linked by his quiet strength and her beautiful effervescence. If there is any comfort that I can find at this time, it’s knowing that Aunt Ada & Uncle Duffy are together, at peace and loving one another. How I wish I could feel Aunt Ada grabbing my arm and marching me toward a treat saying all along the way “You know that you want one…” I’d love to see her beautiful smile and hear her wonderful laugh just one more time. But for now, memories will keep us close.
Barbara, Donna, all of my dear cousins and Uncle Angelo, Mom and I wish we could be there for you. There are no words to express our grief or ease your pain, but please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers today and always. And I know that Aunt Ada & Uncle Duffy will be watching over you – and all of their family and friends. Because that’s just what they always did. Dear Aunt Ada & Uncle Duffy, may you rest in peace.
Our love,
Dolores Ware

When I think of how to describe Aunt Ada, I am flooded by endless memories and the vision of her infectious smile. She was the kind of person to walk into a room and instantly make her presence known. Every person in our family has countless stories to tell that reflect how much of a character she truly was. I will never forget her taking me and my cousin Maria into New York City to see a broadway play, or the nights she spent at my house eating, drinking, and laughing with all of us. One of the last memories I have of her was when my dad went to her apartment to get her to come to my grandpa's to eat pizza and cake with us for his birthday. He wasn't able to get her into his car, so she walked all the way there using her walker with little assistance. That's the kind of person she was- a force to be reckoned with. I will miss her terribly, but a smile is always brought to my face whenever I think about her. Rest in peace <3

So sorry for the passing of my Aunt Ada. She was one of a kind. What a wonderful person she was. I have so many memories growing up on Elliott Avenue. I always thought how my Dad just loved her. He would always tell us stories about when he was growing up. Aunt Ada loved her brothers and she would do anything for them. That is what I remember most about her. May she Rest In Peace and we are praying for her and her family at this difficult time. I cannot imagine the heartache the girls and their family are going through burying two parents within a week of each other. I am sorry that I cannot be there with you at this difficult time. God Bless We love you.

My most wonderful Aunt Ada raised me to be the person I am today. She always taught me to have good values, high integrity, and to always be respectful and caring. Because of her unconditional love and constant support, I grew up with a very strong sense of self esteem. I hope that I will pass this invaluable gift to my own two daughters. This one single person loved me to infinity.
I thank god that I was so blessed to have her in my life, and I know that she will forever be with me and within me.

I can't believe your gone !!!! We were supposed to console eachother after we lost our best friend. That's what we always talked about. I have still so much to learn from you and so many more milestones to share. You took care of me always . You even took care of my Justin so I could return to work. You always said family has to help eachother. Justin is sad and misses you he said but mom I saw her and she was doing good.why is she gone ? We are all so griefstricken. I know you expect us to take care if eachother now the way you always did. You were always a living doll. This spoiled girl was so lucky to have you !!!! Please give poppy a hug and kiss for me which I am so sure you already did. You are now truely our perfect angel. You will surely make heaven an even better place just with your presence. T

To my beloved aunt who I call my second mother. Thank you so very much Aunt Ada for all your help you gave my dad, and us, when my mom passed away and we needed it so desperately. Thank you for all your love, support, discipline and guidance -- it is because of you that we grew up unified as a family and learned right from wrong. I am so grateful to you for the way you took such good care of my dad, always worrying about him and being there for him. Thank you Aunt Ada for always, always being there for me -- even when it was time for me to get married and you came with me to pick out my wedding dress. Aunt Ada I will forever be grateful for ALL that you have done for us and my heart will always have a special place for you. You will sorely be missed but you are now at peace with Uncle Duffy, together again, for all eternity. Your loving niece Lisa xo

When I think of my Aunt Ada I picture her in my grandpas house, singing "the hills are alive with the sound of music" or "Maria I just met a girl named Maria," at the top of her lungs. She always made me laugh. The year I lived with my grandpa, I always looked to go up to visit her, whether it be to glance at her princess Diana plates or eat a cookie, as she always tried to get me to eat! My aunt was a one of a kind person. She was always happy and was the kind of woman who cared about everyone's well being. When I talked to her she really listened. As I got older, I learned how much she did for my mom and her siblings and that made me love and admire her even more. I will also never forget how she looked after my Poppy. She was selfless and did things out of the kindness of her heart. For that, I will keep Aunt Ada in my heart forever. I know she is now at peace with Uncle Duffy, which we are all grateful for. I will truly miss her presence and I know she is up in heaven wearing her red lipstick and rollers.

Dearest Aunt Ada, how lucky for me to have so many cherished memories of times spent with you. You were the sweetest, kindest, most soft spoken "Aunt" a girl could have growing up. You will always be remembered and I know you had to join Uncle Duff. You sensed as only a loving wife could do that he already got his Angel wings. I will be their for your girls as they learn to navigate their world without their amazing parents. So happy Uncle Duff was there to take your hand. I know my parents were there too. Just like Elliott Ave, all together again. Rest in peace you sweet beautiful angel. Until we meet again I will cherish the memory of our last visit a few weeks ago. You were always special to me. A real Aunt in every sense of the word. Until we meet again. Mimmy and Ray too!❤️❤️❤️
