Obituary of Eleanor Zimmerman

Eleanor Zimmerman, 80, of Sciota, PA, passed away peacefully after complications from pneumonia on July 12th, 2018, surrounded by her family. She was born in 1938 in Yonkers, NY to Joe and Eleanor Shepley. She worked for the Yonkers Board of Education until her retirement. Ellie enjoyed her children and her grandchildren, music and crafts, and loved gardening and shopping through the year for Christmas, which was always so special at her house. Ellie is survived by her husband, Richard Zimmerman; sons Chris, John, and Jim Knoeppel; daughters-in-law Liz, Barbara, Kristina, and Kathleen; stepchildren Jennifer and Eric Zimmerman; grandchildren Jackie, Lee, Sam, Vaughn, Liam, Sean, Austin, Keith, and Lillian Knoeppel, Brayden, Ryan, Garrett, and Ella Zimmerman; sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, their children and grandchildren; and many dear friends. She was predeceased in death by her first husband, Fred, and her son, Fred, as well as her two older brothers, Joe (Buddy) and Don Shepley. A wake will be held at the Sinatra Memorial Home on Sunday, July 15th from 2:00-4:00 PM and 7:00-9:00 PM, 499 Yonkers Avenue in Yonkers, New York. Funeral service will be on Monday, July 16th at 10:00 AM at St. Anne's Church in Yonkers.
