There are no words...all I can say is how very sad we’re all feeling. I will forever remember Titi Carmen making her chicken and potatoes wrapped in foil on the grill for the family bbq’s in the parks. I’ll remember Titi’s smiles, warm hugs and hi mamas every time I saw her. She will forever live in our memories and in our hearts.

Carmen will always be remembered by Annie and myself as "la comai" She was always a loving, caring mother and wife who devoted her entire life to the well being and safety of her family. She was also a true "Boricua" proud of her heritage and showed all three of her children the customary traditions, customary Puerto Rican cuisine and of course our traditional dances and music ( bomba y plena, haquilnaldos, and of course " la salsa") Although she struggled with numerous medical issues throughout her life, she fought hard to overcome those medical challenges for the sake of all of us who cared and loved her. She was specially loved and worshipped by her husband and her three children with whom she also had the challenge of helping them through their medical ailments. She will be greatly missed but I will end by saying "Comai, your journey on earth has ended but rest assured we will meet again in heaven" May you rest in peace. Both Annie and I know we have lost a loved one but HEAVEN JUST INHERITED A ANGEL!!!!!

My sister, my mom, my bestfriend, my shoulder to cry on, my comadre. She was at the door as soon as she could get there when I was heart broken. She protected and defended me like no other person would. During my stay in the hospital she was at my side. After surgeries she came to help heal my wounds. She took care of me like no other person knew how. Before and During my two pregnancies she spoiled me with what I desired to eat and was there for both of my children's births, she loved unconditionally. She was the strongest woman I know and the most giving. I cherish our times spent even the times that I didn't want to drive to the house on the hill she won the debate even to the point that she would touch my heart and we would leave the bronx earlier than expected. She was an awesome chef, loved to cook. She loved ALL her family Rodriguez, Figueroa, Soto and ALL her friends. Many adopted into family members, too many to mention. RIP my beautiful sister.

So Sorry for your Lost. God promises us in the Bible that there will be a time when death will be no more. In his word the Bible at Revelations 21: verses 3 & 4: God promises us that there will be no more pain or no more sorrow, the former things have passed away. Lets all look forward to that promise from our God.

Carmen always had a smile on her face, no matter the pain she felt inside. I will always remember going to the house on the hill, she loved it there and was so proud to be a home owner with her husband Eddie. I remember making pastales and me being the rookie they made me grind up everything, but it was worth every scraped finger on the grater. She was a very big presence in everyone's life and will never be forgotten. Sleep in peace my darling friend ❤️
