She was my guiding light when I arrived in this country in 1967 , Elita y Roberto opened the doors of their house and gave me not only a bed and food but gave me also the opportunity tu realize my American Dream .
She got me my first job in the Colin Cares ironing clothes and that’s were I saw her soft and compassionate side since when I got burned a couple of times she was ready to help me heal , I remember her lunches wrapped in aluminum foil to be heated on top of the iron , Her guidance included not only making money but also creating a budget and savings , soon the 17 year old boy grew wings and left her house , but ALWAYS remembered her kindness and guidance not only to me but to many .
Thank you Elita you were a pioneer for many and always helped and guided us , forever I will be thankful and grateful.
Rest In Peace , you left good deeds on these earth and your legacy is one of love and kindness
