So many memories with Joanie I can’t just pick one. I was truly blessed to become part of the family by becoming Joan’s favorite daughter in law. . Oh wait as I would come back with I am your only daughter in law. We would both laughed. Joanie taught me so many things over 43 years. Dating her son Rocco coming for Thursday night dinner. Going to Sunday dinner at the Kressman’s home. Which I loved so much meeting everyone and be accepted by all was a wonderful blessing. Then Joanie teaching me how to make gravy and meatballs ,which by the way was Nana Dimase’s recipe. Joan and Big Rock would baby sit our children every Saturday night so we could have date night.By the end of having a family they would have 5 grandchildren every Saturday night. That was such a blessing for them and us. She kept that going by doing it for her great grandson Michael. Joanie was such a loving ,caring ,beautiful woman. She and I had so many wonderful conversations sitting on her front porch.So many memories but as I sit in the kitchen with out my coffee buddy my heart aches.There is a big void that will never be filled.
