Aunt Joan , where do I begin. Aunt Joan was more to me than an aunt . She was like another to me from early on . Uncle Bob ( Big Rock ) would go to high-li or OTB with my uncle Him or my grandfather back in the day and I would get to go sleep over aunt Joan’s house when they went . She would always have stouffers French bread pizza , ice cream and always a great movie for us . We would wake up and go to Yonkers flea market and then back to orchard street for Sunday dinner with gram and pop . I lived w aunt Joan and uncle Bob for a while and they treated me like a daughter . I have always had a special bond with her and fast forward many years later loved her just the same . Thanksgiving and Christmas will never be the same. She was one of a kind and will always be in my heart . I know she I have gained another guardian angel and she will be missed immensely. I love you aunt Joan

So many memories with Joanie I can’t just pick one. I was truly blessed to become part of the family by becoming Joan’s favorite daughter in law. . Oh wait as I would come back with I am your only daughter in law. We would both laughed. Joanie taught me so many things over 43 years. Dating her son Rocco coming for Thursday night dinner. Going to Sunday dinner at the Kressman’s home. Which I loved so much meeting everyone and be accepted by all was a wonderful blessing. Then Joanie teaching me how to make gravy and meatballs ,which by the way was Nana Dimase’s recipe. Joan and Big Rock would baby sit our children every Saturday night so we could have date night.By the end of having a family they would have 5 grandchildren every Saturday night. That was such a blessing for them and us. She kept that going by doing it for her great grandson Michael. Joanie was such a loving ,caring ,beautiful woman. She and I had so many wonderful conversations sitting on her front porch.So many memories but as I sit in the kitchen with out my coffee buddy my heart aches.There is a big void that will never be filled. I know Joanie is in a better place free of pain and with Big Rock I would come back with I am your only daughter in law. We would both laughed. Joanie taught me so many things over 43 years. I have many fond memories of "Aunt Joan":
* I worked with Joan for many years. She was always fun to be around, and we had many laughs! She was part of the gang, she fit
in with many even though we were a few years younger than her! LOL WE ALL LOVED JOANIE!
* I used to walk with my firstborn to her house and we would sit and chat with both her and Uncle Bob. She always enjoyed seeing
my son, and he enjoyed being with her.
* She loved babies/children and when Ricky and Eileen had their first child she was so happy. As she was with her 2nd, 3rd, 4th
and 5th grandchild. She may have had 1 child but he contributed to a happy and busy life for all. SHE LOVED EVERY MINUTE
OF IT!
* She often spoke of her great grandson Michael and would always laugh! She said he was a character...how could he not be, he
was Michael's son!! I remember going to Ricky and Eileen's house and Michael riding his bike down the stairs.YIKES!!
* MEATBALLS.....Joanie made the "BEST" meatballs and all the times I tried to make them they were never as good! She must
have forgotten to tell me an ingredient! LOL
* We will all miss Joanie, but are so thankful for ALL the memories that we keep in our hearts!
* LOVE YOU JOAN
