Obituary of Rev. Kevin J. O'Reilly

O'REILLY, Rev. Kevin J., 51 – On January 31. Academic Dean and Professor of Dogmatic Theology at St. Joseph's Seminary in Yonkers, NY. He is survived by his loving parents, Loretta and Kevin O'Reilly of Riverdale, NY; his brothers Timothy, Sean and Rev. Daniel O'Reilly; his sisters, Kathleen O'Reilly and Mary Pat Adamson; his sister-in-law Mollie O'Reilly; his brother-in-law Matt Adamson; his nephews Martin, Peter, Eamon and Stephen O'Reilly and Thomas and Brendan Adamson; his nieces Meghan and Colleen Adamson; and his Aunts Kathleen Creaven and Mary Kelly. A graduate of Columbia College; he attended St. Joseph's Seminary and was ordained to the priesthood on May 11, 1996. He received his doctorate from the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome. He served as a parochial vicar at Our Lady of Angels Church in the Bronx from 1996 – 1999 and was a weekend assistant at several other parishes. The wake will be at Sinatra's Memorial Home, 499 Yonkers Avenue in Yonkers, from 4:00 to 8:00 PM on Thursday, February 4, Vigil Mass will be on Friday, February 5 at 7:30 PM at St. Joseph's Seminary and the Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 6 at St. Margaret of Cortona Church, 6000 Riverdale Avenue in Riverdale, Interment to follow at St. John's Cemetery, Middle Village.
