Carmela (Quici) Yazurlo, born July 11, 1927 in Campobasso, Italy.
Immigrated to the U.S. in 1953 with her husband Americo
Yazurlo of 52 years until his passing in 2006. They lived
and worked in Yonkers, New York. Carmela moved to New Fairfield, CT
in 2016 where she remained until she passed away peacefully on Friday, February
12, 2021.
Carmela was a woman of faith and family which gave her strength and love
throughout her 93 years. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother,
and her family were the center of her life's purpose.
She is survived by daughter Maria and son-in-law
Richard Wishnia; granddaughters Jaclyn & Juliana Wishnia;
son Donato Yazurlo daughter-in-law Nicki Silvestri; granddaughter
Emily Silvestri; sister-in-law Carmela Mucci and numerous nieces
and nephews.
The family will have private grave site ceremony at Ferncliff Cemetery on
Saturday, February 20th. A memorial service is being planned for the Summer, around her
