Margaret (Cookie) Nader of Yonkers, New York passed away on Wednesday, March 10th at the age of 85. She was born in Yonkers on September 15, 1935. She is predeceased by her parents Vincent and Mary Azzolino, Her brother Anthony, sister Madeline and her first grandchild Noel. She was the beloved wife of the late George D. Nader II. Margaret was 13 years old when they met and later married in 1955. She is survived by her three children Joseph, Margaret and George. She was a loving and devoted grandmother to Joseph and Peggy's sons, Joseph, Michael and Lance; Margaret and Patrick Metel's sons Steven, Michael and Chaz; George and Tina's daughter their angel Noel and sons George and Justin. She was the adoring great grandmother of Joseph and Sameena's daughter Violet Margaret. Margaret (Cookie) was also survived by her sister Theresa, nieces Jennifer and Tess and nephew Trent and other nieces and nephews.

 

Margaret will be remembered for her unconditional love for her family, her sense of humor and wonderful heartfelt laughter. The greatest joy in her life was her great granddaughter, Violet, who danced and sang for her grandma at every opportunity. They shared a very special bond. Margaret also enjoyed watching her soaps. She also enjoyed playing scrabble, having dinner and doing the jumbo with her nephew Mario, wife Ann Marie and daughter Amanda. She also loved her friend Judy, the best neighbor anyone could ever have.

 

A memorial mass will be celebrated for Margaret on Saturday, March 20 at 10 AM at St. John the Baptist Church, 668 Yonkers Ave., Yonkers NY 10704
