Peter Joseph Greisen, 93, of Yonkers, NY, passed away on June 6, 2021. Peter was born January 17, 1928 to Mary Cormier Greisen and Hans Peter Greisen in Elmsford, NY. After graduating from Alexander Hamilton High School in Elmsford, NY in 1945, he enlisted in the US Navy in November 1945. After four years of service, he went on to study at Drexel Institute of Technology in Philadelphia and graduated in 1953. Peter worked as a Mechanical Engineer and retired from Tork in Mount Vernon, NY. Peter married the love of his life, Christina (née Malone) on June 19, 1982. During their almost 39 year love story, they enjoyed traveling and spending time with family and friends. Peter is survived by his wife, Christina, and his sister Marylou Reifsnyder. He is also survived by his in-laws Mary and Kevin Harmon, Esther Hollingsworth, Laura Malone, Angela Malone, Paula and Thomas Morgan, Michelle and Nikos Fotopoulou, Noel Malone, Michael Malone, Raymond Malone, and Liam and Christina Malone as well as many nieces and nephews in the USA and overseas. He is predeceased by his sister Claire Rivers, brothers-in-law Jim Rivers, Robert Reifsnyder, Arthur Hollingsworth, and John Malone as well as sisters-in-law Lily Malone, Sally Byrne (née Malone), Margaret Malone. Services will be held privately. The family is asking that donations be made in his name to the Readsboro Lions Club, PO Box 183, Readsboro, VT, 05350 or the Readsboro American Legion Post, 66 Tunnel Street, Readsboro, VT 05350
