Obituary of Lois Vigada
Please share a memory of Lois to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Lois (Liberatore) Vigada passed away on April 30, 2022 at the age of 63 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was surrounded by loved ones who will continue to honor her legacy by living their lives to the fullest. Lois was born in Yonkers, NY to Albert "Weasel" and Maureen (Ineson) Liberatore on September 11, 1958, the first of seven children. She is survived by her beloved husband of 40 years, Robert, two daughters Melissa (Frank) and Allison (Ryan), four sisters Lori (Keith), Joanne (Joe), Janet (Jerry), and Connie, two brothers, Alby (Wendy) and John (Lisa), and sister-in-law Angela (Kevin). Lois's greatest joy was spending time with her six grandsons: Crimson, Tenzin, Marsden, Vincent, Nicholas, and Tyler. They have always called her "B" because "B is for best." She treasured her time spent with her nieces, nephews, and many cousins. Lois was passionate about her long career working with children in education. She was a nursery school teacher at Small World North in Yonkers and a teaching assistant in the Hastings-on-Hudson schools, where she will be remembered for bringing joy to every room she entered and every child she taught. She was always the life of the party, finding happiness in all moments or creating her own, and her smile was contagious to everyone she met. Lois was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Maureen Liberatore. Her entire family is devastated by losing her too soon, and will always carry the beautiful and fun memories that she has created with them. Her bright spirit will live on in all the hearts of those that loved her so dearly, and were fortunate enough to be a part of her life. Friends may call on Thursday, May 5, 2022 from 3-8 pm at Sinatra Memorial Home, 499 Yonkers Ave, Yonkers, NY, 10705. A funeral mass is scheduled for 9:30 am on Friday, May 6, 2022 at Sacred Heart Monestary Church in Yonkers. Interment to follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery.
