Totally heartbroken by the news of my friend Tommy's passing. Tommy and I have never met in person, but have known each other for several years. You see, I am an agent manager for a genre of music called Freestyle, one that Tommy was a huge fan and supporter of.
I have written several books, all of which I believe Tommy owns, and when I started my Goodnight Freestyle Podcast, he was immediately hooked and would write me every morning to tell me how much he enjoyed last night's.
The absolute last message I received from Tommy was on Sept 6th, the day before he passed, where he reminded me that he had a birthday coming up in Sept and therefore, I'd mention him in my monthly newsletter.
When I heard the sad news, my newsletter had already been published for the month, and right away, I rushed to make sure I had mentioned him, and sure enough, I did... in fact, he was the first one I mentioned.
I'm gonna miss hearing from him, and my only regret is that we never got to meet, though I always promised him that my next trip to NY, we would, a promise I could no longer keep.
