Dad - I'll always remember your smile whenever you saw your grandson. You will always have a special place in Richie's heart. I know you carried his smile back home to heaven. Now you can be with everyone - they were just waiting for you and are so happy now. Mom, my Mom, my Dad, Mike R. - I'm most sure you are in a much better place. Watch over all of us - God knows we need it - until some day - for now goodbye - sleep well.
Love, Anne

Grandpa, you are someone i will never forget, you were the strongest person ive ever known, and never seemed to let anyone or anything stand in your way of driving to Johnny's pizza or the Diner and i always admired you for that. We have had so many great memories together that i will cherish forever. I'm sorry i never got the chance to go to Pepe's Pizza with you for that slice of pizza, but i promise to go there soon with Daddy and Richie and eat one for you. Its going to be weird driving by your garage without you sitting outside once the warm weather comes, but i know you will be there in spirit. I'm glad that you can finally have a good nights sleep now. You will always be in my heart <3

Dear Mr. Persico,
I am sorry to see you go and my regret is that I didn't join your wonderful family sooner. Now that you are in heaven I know that you will always guide your loved one through their path in life and will continually watch over them. I too will miss going to Johnny's Pizza with you, Michael and little Joe. Enjoy playing golf in heaven with your friends that join you. May God bless you and may you rest in peace, always.

Grandpa - I am really sorry I did not get a chance to say goodbye to you last night after dinner. But its not goodbye its see you later and I know we will meet again. I will miss going out to eat with you..going to Johnnys wont ever be the same nor will sunday dinners (however, I am very glad and grateful that I got to spend your last one with you), I will also miss our freezer being stocked up with mini haagen dasz icecream cups and bars that you always brought over, along with those chocolate chip cookies from that bakery which I will one of these days make a drive up to and get a box and eat one for you. Life won't be the same without you - I will miss your funny stories and comments (although I will be sure to keep your sense of humor & spirit alive since everyone says I take after you) Anyways I will always cherish our memories together and am very thankful that you have been such a close person in my life over the past 20 years. I know you'll be watching over all of us because it is not easy right now. I only hope to someday be the strong determined person that you were - you never let anything stand in your way and thats something that I will take with me for the rest of my life and try and follow. I hope you know that we all love you very much and it is going to take a lot of time for us to get used to you not being around here anymore. Ava picked up your picture tonight and kissed it and called you "PA" she loves you too and will miss you and we will always remind her as she gets older of what a great grandpa you were and how much you adored her. Thank you for being such a great grandpa. I will always miss you and think about you and all the good times we have had. Watch over us - especially Richie and my Dad.
Love Always,
Your First & (favorite) Grand-daughter Victoria

Pa Pa, I am so happy I played with you on sunday, even though I am a baby, I was truly aware of how much you loved me. I always got excited how you tickeled my feet and tummy and you smiled so bright when I finally said the word "PA PA". You always paid such attention to detail when it came to me. You would even notice and comment on how pretty all my clothes were. Mommy and Daddy said you loved to see me dressed up and laughed so hard on sunday at my boots and jacket. I will miss our dinners together and our playtime in the den afterwards. I know I am too young to realize the loss we are all enduring, You loved me enough in the short time to last me thru a life time. I know the family will make sure I will remember my Pa Pa. Just as I was born on "All Souls Day" It is your soul that will always look over me and protect me. I couldn't ask for a more special angel than you. Love your Ava.

Through business I had the opportunity to become friendly with the Persico family. Mr. Persico always made me feel like a million bucks on the occasions that I got to see him. Whether it be reminiscing about some golf stories , buying my group pizza at Johnny's or asking me how my "lovely wife " was doing. It always felt good to see him .
He will be missed .
