PERSICO, ANTHONY M. (Tony) died suddenly on March 7, 2010. He was 83. Born on June 9, 1926 in Yonkers, New York to Ralph and Filomena Persico. Beloved Husband of the late Elizabeth (Orsini) Persico. Survived by four sons, Michael Persico of Scarsdale, New York, Ralph G. Persico of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Richard (Anne) Persico of Scarsdale, New York, Robert (Angela) Persico of Scarsdale, New York. Four grandchildren, Victoria Persico, Alexa Persico, Richard Persico, Ava Persico. Two sisters, Angelina Varrasi of Hobe Sound, Florida, the late Annunziata Nancy Ciuffetelli of Yonkers, New York, one brother, the late Dominick Persico of Yonkers, New York and many nieces and nephews. A four year Veteran of The United States Army Infantry Div. 1941-1945. Self employed General Contractor for 35 years. Tony was an avid golfer and loved the game. He enjoyed his days on the course with good friends. Tony will be remembered for his kind and generous ways - always bringing something to family and friends. Johnny's Pizzeria will never be the same without Tony. He loved being around his grandchildren. Tony will be dearly missed. The family will be present to receive visitors at the Sinatra Memorial Home, 601 Yonkers Avenue on Tuesday, from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Fatima Church, Scarsdale, New York, Thursday, at 10:00 a.m. Entombment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Valhalla, New York.
