Please share a memory of Anna Maria to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Anna Maria Vitullo, a longtime resident of Yonkers, died peacefully on April 26, 2023, in the presence of her loving family. She was born on July 19,1943 in Bomba, Chieti, Abruzzo, Italy to the late Nicolantonio Romagnoli and Carmela D’Intino. Anna Maria married her loving husband, the late Antonio Vitullo, in February 1961. Shortly after, she immigrated to the United States where together they lovingly raised their family.
Anna Maria lived a full and happy life, was a devoted mother and grandmother, and loved her family deeply. She was gifted with many talents. As an extraordinary seamstress, she took as much pride in creating designer dresses and gowns as she did in creating beautiful dresses for her granddaughters, as well as family and friends. Her creations were truly a work of art. Anna Maria’s expertise in cooking and baking was second to none and will forever be remembered. Her grandchildren will always cherish the recipes she shared and the memories of learning how to recreate their favorite dishes by her side. Anna Maria also had a green thumb, and each year nurtured a garden overflowing with vegetables and flowers. Our family was truly blessed with a beautiful and caring mother and grandmother who will be missed beyond measure and live forever in our hearts.
Anna Maria is survived by her children Edward (Marie Cordelli), Nicholas (Vivian), and John; her grandchildren, Vivian Marie (Phil Velasco), Elena, and Antonio. She is also survived by her brother, Domenico (Filomena) Romagnoli of Veduggio, Italy; her sister, Saba Romagnoli Tenaglia of Casoli, Italy; her sister-in-law, Carmela Sacchetta of Yonkers; numerous nieces and nephews; and many friends near and far.
The family will receive visitors at the Sinatra Memorial Home on Monday, May 1st from 3:00 – 8:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, May 2nd at 10:00 a.m. at St. Bartholomew’s Church in Yonkers, New York. Entombment will follow at Ferncliff Mausoleum, Hartsdale, New York.
