Obituary of Maria Ricciuti

Please share a memory of Maria to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Maria Ricciuti, 78 years old, passed away peacefully on May 18, 2023. She was born on June 11, 1944, in Civitacompomarano, Italy. She married her longtime love, Antonio Ricciuti on March 15, 1962. She is survived by her husband Antonio Ricciuti, her three beautiful children, Angela Mastrangelo, Joseph Ricciuti, and Teresa Alonso and their spouses Anthony Mastrangelo, Linda Ricciuti, and Robert Alonso. She was blessed with 6 grandchildren, Alexandra, Robert, Victoria, Anthony, Vincent, and Adriana. She was also a loving sister to Antonio, Alfonsina, Edvige, and Michele, a devoted aunt to many nieces and nephews, and a loving friend.

Maria was a dedicated mother and grandmother first and foremost. She treasured her children and embraced every moment with them. She especially loved her role as Nonna. For many years she was a seamstress, worked at a family-owned deli, and as a deli clerk for the A&P, where all who knew her loved her. Her hands were rarely still. From cooking, cleaning, to playing cards, she proceeded to live life with tenacity, wit, passion, undying love, and cared for all. She has instilled strong values that have served her family and all who knew her well. She will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to Saint Judes Children’s Hospital.
