Obituary of Dawn Marie Berger

Dawn Marie Berger departed life on October 28, 2023, in Yonkers, NY at the age of 60. She was born on February 25, 1963, in New York City. Dawn was a beloved mother, daughter, and grandmother. Dawn had a solid career with the New York City Department of Correction, where she served as a Correction Officer before retiring. After retiring, she decided to pursue higher education and obtained a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at Farleigh Dickinson University. Dawn loved her work as a clinical psychologist, providing much needed direction, support and care to her patients. Dawn found solace and strength in her faith. She attended Salem United Methodist Church and Christ Church USA in NJ, where she found spiritual guidance and community. Although Dawn struggled with a debilitating medical condition for most of her life, it did not deter her from attaining the goals she set for her life. Her tenacity and strength kept her going. Dawn Marie Berger departed this life on October 28, 2023. She will be dearly missed by her family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched. She is survived by her Mother Gloria Simmons, her loving daughter Danielle Berger, her grandson, Aidan Mabrey Morrison, her aunts Elaine Osborne and Diane Crawford, her uncle William Massey and her cousins including Carol Lewis and Robert Lewis a host of loving friends and colleagues. May her soul rest in eternal peace.
