Obituary of John A. Trentanelli

John Anthony Trentanelli , 70, of Ossining, NY died on April 13,2010. John was born on October 18, 1939 to Frank Joseph and Marie Theresa Trentanelli. Beloved husband to Barbara Kay Trentanelli, devoted father to Angela (Peter Dhir) and stepfather to Julie, Jeff and Donna. Grandchildren: Marcello, Mitchell, Michelle, Nicole, Mollie and Jeffrey. Great grandchildren: Stevie and Sydney. Also survived by brother Robert and mother Marie. John worked for Yonkers Public Schools as an administrator for Lincoln High School 1999-2009 and Pearls Hawthorne Elementary 20092010. He earned his BS in education from Southeast Missouri State University 1969; Master's in Education and Administration from Prarie View A&M University, Texas 1987. Substitute teacher Parma (Ohio) Public School District 1977-1978; social studies teacher, American Federation of Teachers rep for Cleveland Public Schools 1978-1981; social studies teacher and department chairman at Fleming Middle School 19811987; assistant principal at Phyllis Wheatley High School 1987-1999 for Houston Independent School District. He was passionate about power and sail boating and was a member of the Galveston Bay Power Squadron in Clear Lake, Texas. He served as Editor of the Galveston Bay Power Squadron, Bay Breeze 1999. Member of ASCD, Pi Kappa Alpha (President District 15, 1972-1973). Friends may call at the Sinatra Memorial Home, 601 Yonkers Ave, Yonkers, NY on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM.
