I am so very sorry to hear of Gerard's passing. We worked together at Citibank for many years and spent many moments in joy and laughter. We were together in the bank during 911 and watched the tv in astonishment when the towers fell. It is a moment that will forever live in my mind. When I left Citibank, Gerard wrote me a beautiful letter which I still have and cherish till this day. I wish I could have spent one last time reminiscing of our days at Citibank but my fond memories of him will always live in my heart.

The Gerard Wilson that I knew was a quiet, intellectual, dedicated man with strongly held beliefs. He participated in civic affairs where he earned the nickname, Spider-Man for his banner displaying talent. It was my honor and privilege to know him. He did, indeed, make the world a better place by his thoughts and actions. He will be greatly missed by those who knew him and loved him!
