Obituary of Gerard P. Wilson

Gerard Wilson was born in the Woodlawn section of the Bronx and lived most of his life in Yonkers. He graduated St Barnabas School in 1958, going on to Fordham Prep and then Fordham University, from which he graduated: in 1967. After college, he spent two years in the Peace Corps in India. When he returned to the U.S. in 1969, he obtained a graduate degree in diplomacy from the University of Southern California, and joined the U.S. State Department, with assignments in Senegal, Iran and Washington D.C. When he left the State Department he worked for Citibank in Manhattan. He is survived by his brother, Lawrence Wilson, and sister, Mary Harding, and their children and grandchildren, who brightened the last years of his life.
