Obituary of Rocco Taurisano

Rocco A. Taurisano, 68, of Yonkers, NY, passed away on December 23, 2024. Rocco was born to Frank and Teresa (Vozza) on August 16, 1956 in the Bronx, NY, where he spent his formative years and attended Mount Saint Michael Academy. He then later moved with his family to Yonkers,where he worked for his father’s entertainment company, Frank Terris Orchestras, which he took over after his father retired. Some years later, Rocco started a business, The Image Makers,with his partner, Victor. Due to his hard work and dedication, the business has been successful over the past 28 years.

Rocco met his wife, Catherine (“Cat”) in 2000. Fate brought them together, and they’ve been inseparable since. When he wasn’t working, he enjoyed family vacations in St. Maarten, getaways with Cat, and nighttime card tournaments at home. He was a devoted Mets fan; he liked watching games and sharing updates on the team.

More than anything, Rocco loved his family -- sharing laughs, playing games, and watching his favorite TV shows (Big Bang Theory and Everybody Loves Raymond, to name a few). He was known for his infallible “mustache luck”, and his annual family Christmas card designs were second to none. He loved Marvel movies, and he was our superhero.

Rocco is survived by his wife, Catherine; his two children, Nicole (DVM) and Leah; his three stepchildren and their spouses/partners, Stephanie and Joel, Michael, and Melissa and Anthony; his grandchildren, Nicole, Christopher, and Olivia; his nephew and niece, Gary and Traci (Gryzmala); his brother-in-law, Leon (Gryzmala); friends; and colleagues.

He is reunited in heaven with his parents, Frank and Teresa (Vozza); his sister, Teresa (Gryzmala); his uncle, Bob (Vozza); and his longtime friend, Thomas “Gus” Montano.

Memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2025 from 12:00 – 4:00 pm at Sinatra Funeral Home in Yonkers, NY.
