PERSICO, Michael A. died tragically on October 20, 2010. He was 58. Michael was born on May 11, 1952 in Mount Vernon, New York to the late Anthony and Elizabeth Persico. He is the beloved brother of Richard Persico (Anne) of Scarsdale, New York, Robert Persico (Angela) of Scarsdale, New York, and Ralph Persico of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He is also survived by three nieces and one nephew, Victoria, Alexa, Ava, Richie (His Pal), and his loving fiance, Gina Saglimbeni of Yonkers, New York. Michael was a devoted employee of the Swid Family in New York City. Loved and cherished by Nan and Stephen Swid, their children and their six grandchildren. From 1976-1986 he was an A&R record promoter for Apple Records. Michael worked for George Steinbrenner and the New York Yankees from 1988 to 1994. He was an avid sports fan, and loved the Yankees, Giants/Jets, Knicks and Rangers. Michael was a devoted brother and loving uncle to his nieces and nephew and a constant, reliable friend to all that knew him. He will be greatly missed and will forever be in our hearts. Michael, may you rest in peace. We love you. The family will be present to receive visitors at the Sinatra Memorial Home, 601 Yonkers Avenue on Saturday, from 7-9 p.m. and Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Fatima Church, Scarsdale, New York, Monday at 9:30 a.m. Entombment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Valhalla, New York. Instead of flowers the family requests that a donation be made in Michael's name to his favorite charity "Autism Speaks" at www.autismspeaks.org/.
