Newman, Vincent Joseph passed away on October 21, 2010 at the age of 68, after a courageous battle with cancer. Vinny was born on November 7, 1941 to Margaret and Benjamin. Retired NYC Police Officer of the 42 PCT & a member of the Emerald Society Pipes & Drums. Currently employed by AKAL Security for the US Marshall service. Beloved husband of Linda (Schinasi); Loving father of Vincent Jr. (YFD) & Maria, Richard (NYPD) & Michelle, and Joseph (NYS UCS) & Rachel; dear brother of William Johnson & Mary; devoted grandfather of Matthew, Vincent III, Ryan, Kelly & James; loving son-in-law of Josephine Schinasi; Also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Reposing Sinatra Memorial Home, 601 Yonkers Av, Yonkers Mon 2-5, 7-9. Mass of Christian Burial Tues 10:30 AM St. John the Baptist RC Church. Interment St. Mary's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the American Cancer Society.
