Carmine Tinto, a longtime Yonkers resident died peacefully on November 25, 2010 at the age of 71. For many years he worked as a waiter in several popular restaurants including Stella D'Oro, Reggia Morelli and Valentino's among others. In June of 1958, he arrived in America and settled in Yonkers. Like many ItalianAmericans, he was an avid soccer fan. He also enjoyed trips to Atlantic City with his beloved wife of 46 years, Lidia. Devoted father of Vincent (Michele) Tinto and Maria (Juaquin)Tinto. Cherished brother of Dominick Tinto, Severina Severo and Angelo Starcich. Loving grandfather of Christian and Julia Tinto. He is also survived by many family and friends in Italy and the United States. Friends may call at the Sinatra Memorial Home, 601 Yonkers Avenue on Saturday (only) from 2-4 and 7-9PM.
