Dawn Marie Lawson Re - July 13, 1962 Dawn passed away peacefully at home on Friday February 11 , 2011, surrounded by her husband and family. Beautiful wife of John, and loving devoted mother of Samantha, Matthew and Jason, they lived in Chappaqua , NY. Daughter of Phyllis and Tom Lawson, Dawn was born Newport, Vermont and raised with her siblings Karen, Michael and Pam in Middlebury, Vermont. She was a 1984 graduate of the University of Vermont where she majored in Psychology and Social Services. Dawn met John the summer of 1984 in Southampton, NY and after living in Boston for several years, they were married on April 21, 1990. They then relocated to Manhattan, where Dawn worked as a counselor and teacher for disabled persons at the Foundling Hospital. Dawn and John eventually settled in Chappaqua, where they have raised their three lovely children. Dawn was a cyclist and fundraiser completing several century rides and playing Snowball Softball for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. She also became active fundraising, along with her children, for The American Cancer Society's Relay for Life. She always remained very close to her parents and siblings. Dawn and her family spent summers and holidays with parents, aunts, uncles and cousins in Cape Cod and Southampton. Dawn returned to school and earned her RN.
